# Asking your own consent questions

Club HubClub admins3 min read

Every club is asked about the privacy notice, photography and its code of conduct. If your club needs people to agree to anything else, add it as a question of your own.

## Adding one

Open **Configure**, then the **Documents & consent** tab, and choose **Add a question** from the button in the bottom corner.

- **Title.** A short name, like _Away travel_ or _Kit agreement_.
- **How it’s answered.**
    - **They must agree**: there’s no “no”. Use it for something everybody has to accept, like a code of behaviour.
    - **Yes or no**: a real choice, like permission to travel in club transport. Either answer counts as answered.
- **What they’re agreeing to.** Write it as the player would say it: _“I agree to travel to away games in club transport.”_
- **For a guardian (optional).** How a parent or guardian reads it when they answer for a player. Write `{player}` where the player’s name should go. If you leave it empty, a guardian sees _“For Sam Carter:”_ before your wording.
- **A note (optional).** A line under the question, like _“You can change this at any time.”_
- **Who is it for?** **Everyone at the club**, or **Only the players of some teams**, then tick the teams. A question for your Under 12s and Under 16s is asked only of the players in those squads and their guardians, and only they count as not having answered it.

Your questions are asked **in the Player Hub** of everybody they’re for, and questions for everyone at the club are also asked **when somebody joins** through your join link. A question for some teams is asked once the player is in one of those squads. They sit after the privacy, photography and code of conduct questions, which are always asked and can’t be removed.

## Who hasn’t answered

A question you add is new to everybody, so everybody already at the club needs to answer it. To see who hasn’t, open **Reports**, then **Consents**: it lists everybody still to answer, by team, and you can download it as a spreadsheet. Choose **Everybody** to see all your players, and tick **Include … who can’t be asked** to add the players with no email address and no guardian, who are left out until then because they have no way to answer. Tap a player to open their page. A player’s own answers are under **Consents** on their page. Nobody is emailed about it; the Player Hub asks them the next time they open it.

**Nobody is stopped from playing** because they haven’t answered. It’s your list to chase, the same as subs.

## Changing one

Press **Change** on the question.

**If you change what people are agreeing to, everybody is asked again.** That means the wording, the guardian wording, the note, or whether they must agree. Every answer is kept against the wording it was given to, so nobody is ever held to words they didn’t see. The page tells you before you save.

Changing only the **title** doesn’t ask anybody again.

## Stopping one

Press **Stop asking**. Nobody is asked it from then on. The answers people have already given are kept, as a record of what they agreed, and still show on their **Consents**.

## Good to know

- **We don’t check your wording.** These are asked in your club’s name, in your words.
- **“Must agree” records that somebody agreed, and when, to exactly your wording.** It’s the strongest record the platform keeps, and it’s better evidence than a drawn signature.
- A club can ask up to 20 questions of its own.
