# Writing to your club, or one team — LEKKIN help

# Writing to your club, or one team

One message to a whole group at your club, from Messages in the Club Hub. Club admins only.

## Where it is

Open **Messages** (in **More** on a phone), then **Announcements**. **Conversations**, beside it, is every chat at the club (see [looking after team messages](/help/club/looking-after-team-messages/)).

Only club admins see **Announcements**.

## Sending a message

1.  On **Announcements**, press **New announcement** (the round send button at the bottom right on a phone).
2.  **Who:** under **Send to**, leave **The whole club** or pick one of your teams. Then choose **Everyone who helps run the club**, **Club admins only**, **Team managers only**, or **Players, or their guardians**. Each says who that is underneath.
3.  **Message:** write a subject and the message.
4.  **Check:** read who it’s going to. Tick **Also send it by email** if you want it in their mailbox as well. Then press **Send it**.

## Writing to one team

Pick the team under **Send to** and the choices become that team’s: everyone who helps run it (its managers and the club admins), its managers only, or its players and their guardians. **Club admins only** isn’t offered for a team, because club admins don’t belong to one.

The team’s name goes in front of your subject, so “Saturday is off” arrives as “Under 12s: Saturday is off”. Someone with two teams, or two children at the club, can tell which one it is about.

## When it arrives

It arrives in their notifications in the app either way. When you write to players, anyone with a guardian recorded is contacted through the guardian instead.

## What you’ve sent

Under the explanation on **Announcements**, **Sent** is a table of every message the club’s admins have sent, newest first: when, the subject and the start of the message, who it went to, who sent it, and how many it reached (and how many couldn’t be contacted, and whether it was emailed). Press a column’s heading to sort by it, and a subject to read the whole message. Every club admin sees the same list, so check it before writing again.

## Who it reached

When it has sent, you’re told how many people it reached. If anybody in the group has no email address and no guardian recorded, it says how many, so you can add their details on **People** and they’ll get the next one. If nobody is in the group yet, it says so, and nothing is sent.
