# Discount codes

FacilitiesClub admins3 min read

A summer offer for anyone, a regular's own code, or money off for your league's secretaries: a discount code does it, on your booking page.

## Adding one

1. Open **Configure** (in **More** on a phone), then **Discount codes**.
2. Press **Add a discount code**.
3. Type **the code people type**: letters and numbers, 3 to 40 of them, for example `SUMMER10`. Capitals don’t matter when they type it.
4. Choose **A percentage off** or **An amount off**, and how much.
5. Choose **how often each person can use it**:
    - **Once each**: one booking for each email address. On a weekly booking, or several times booked together, it takes off the first.
    - **Again and again**: every booking they make with it, and every week of a weekly booking.
6. Choose **who can use it**: **anyone with the code**, or **only these email addresses**, one per line.
7. If it should stop, set **the last day it can be used**.
8. Press **Save**.

## On your booking page

Under **Have a discount code?** they type the code and press **Apply**. It’s checked there and then, and the price shows what it takes off. Somebody whose email isn’t on a code’s list is told it isn’t recognised, the same as for a code that doesn’t exist, so nobody learns your codes by guessing.

A code never takes the price below nothing. If it takes it all off and your bookings approve themselves, the booking is made there and then, with nothing to pay.

## What you see

Each code shows how many bookings have used it. A booking that used one shows the code and what it took off, on the request and on the **Calendar**.

## Changing or stopping one

Press a code to **Change** it or **Stop it working**. A change applies to bookings made from then on: a booking keeps what it took off.
