# Direct messages — LEKKIN help

# Direct messages

Need a word with the club secretary, or another coach? Message them directly from the Team Hub.

## Sending a message

1.  Open **Messages**.
2.  Press the round **+** button in the bottom corner, choose **New message**, find your colleague by name, and press **Message**.
3.  Write your message and press **Post**.

Your conversations are in the **Messages** list with your team’s thread and your groups, latest first. The **Messages** badge counts what you haven’t read there.

**If you’re in more than one team**, the list shows the team you’re in now: its groups, and the direct messages and club-wide groups at its club. Tick **Show messages from all your teams** to see everything, other teams’ chats included. The badge follows the same choice, and this device remembers it.

## Notifications on your phone

Say yes to **Get a buzz when a colleague messages you?** and your phone shows who wrote, never what they said. See [Notifications on your phone](/help/team/notifications-on-your-phone/).

## Who can message

The people who help run the club. Players and guardians can’t, and your club may keep some groups out, such as its youth squads. See [Direct messages](/help/club/direct-messages/) in the Club Hub guide.
