# Collecting subs — LEKKIN

> Collect subs straight into your club's own account, with one small monthly fee instead of a slice of every payment.

# Collect subs without losing a slice of every payment.

Subs go straight into **your club’s own account**. We never hold your money and we don’t take a cut of it. We charge one small amount a month instead — and under £10,000 a year, nothing at all.

## How it works

- **The money is yours from the start.** It lands in your club’s own account, not ours.
- **Everyone pays the same way every month.** By card, or by Direct Debit if you would rather.
- **You can see who has paid.** Against the squad you already have, not a spreadsheet you keep separately.
- **Nobody has to chase.** Reminders go out on their own.

## Why fees exist at all

Every online payment carries a charge. That is true wherever you collect — it is what the card networks and the banks charge for moving the money, and no app can make it go away.

What differs is **what the app adds on top**. Most club apps take a slice of every payment you collect. So the more your club grows, the more they take.

**We do not take a slice.** Your payments go through your club’s own account at its own rate, and we charge the club one flat amount a month. That amount does not grow with each payment — it only moves when your club moves into a bigger band.

## What that looks like for a real club

A club with 100 players paying £20 a month collects £24,000 a year, across about 1,200 separate payments. Here is what a year of fees costs, all in:

A year of fees, VAT included
| How you collect | Fees for the year | Per player |
| --- | --- | --- |
| A typical club app | £840 | £8.40 |
| LEKKIN, paid by card | £648 | £6.48 |
| LEKKIN, paid by Direct Debit | £288 | £2.88 |

Figures include the charge the bank or card network takes, which you pay wherever you collect. Direct Debit is cheaper than card because the charge is a few pence rather than a percentage.

## Who pays — the club, or the parents?

That is your choice, and plenty of clubs do it either way. But it is worth being straight about one thing first.

**Fees do not vanish when you pass them on. They move to your families.** If your club pays nothing towards fees today, it is because a hundred households are covering them instead — a few pence at a time, every month, without most of them noticing.

The point of the table above is not that we are free. It is that **there is less to pay in the first place**. On the club in that example, a year of fees falls from £840 to £288. So the club can pick up the whole lot — every penny, for every player — for less than its families are paying between them right now.

And if you would rather keep passing it on, your parents simply pay less.

## What the club pays

Based on how much you collect in a year. Prices include VAT.

Per month, VAT included
| Subs collected in a year | What the club pays |
| --- | --- |
| Under £10,000 · Most small clubs | Free |
| £10,000 – £29,999 | £4 a month |
| £30,000 – £69,999 | £12 a month |
| £70,000 or more | £29 a month |

The band is worked out from what you have actually collected over the past year, so a club that grows moves up on its own and a club that shrinks moves back down. It is checked once a month: it goes down straight away, and only goes up after two months in a row, with a month’s notice. A change applies from your next bill, and nothing you have already paid changes. Nothing to ask for, and nothing to remember.

## What’s free

Collecting subs is an add-on. The football side — teams, players, fixtures, availability and match recording — is free and included, whether you collect subs through us or not.
