Your games in your own calendar
Put your games and training, and those of the players you look after, in the calendar you already use. Add the whole lot once and it keeps itself up to date, or add a single game.
Add everything, once
On your Calendar, press Add to your calendar (the button in the bottom corner), then Get my calendar link. Choose where it goes:
- Google Calendar opens Google Calendar with the link filled in. Press Add calendar. Do this on a computer: on a phone, Google’s app can say the calendar was added when it wasn’t. On a phone, press Copy link instead, then in your phone’s browser go to calendar.google.com, choose Desktop site from the browser menu, and add it under Settings, Add calendar, From URL.
- Apple Calendar or Outlook is for an iPhone, iPad or Mac, or Outlook on a computer. It opens your calendar app and asks whether to subscribe.
- Outlook.com or Microsoft 365 opens Outlook on the web with the link filled in.
- Copy link copies it, for any other calendar app that can subscribe to a calendar by its address.
The calendar holds every game and training session for you and every player you look after, from three months ago to a year ahead. A player you look after has their first name in front, so you can tell whose it is. A game names both teams, home side first, like Amara: Riverside FC U12 v Hilltop U12, and a session names its team, like Amara: Training · Riverside FC U12. If a game or session is called off, it stays in your calendar with (called off) or (postponed) after its name. Each game shows where it is, any meeting note from the team, a map link, and a link back to the Player Hub.
It keeps itself up to date. New games, moved kick-offs and new training appear by themselves, and a game or session that’s called off is struck through rather than disappearing. Your calendar app decides how often it checks: Apple Calendar about every hour, Outlook every few hours, and Google up to once a day. So a change made on the day can arrive late. The notifications from LEKKIN tell you straight away, so keep them on.
Keep the link to yourself
The link is private: anybody who has it can see when and where your players will be. We show it only once, when you make it.
- New link stops the old one and makes a new one. Use it if you’ve shared the link by mistake, or to add your calendar somewhere else. Any calendar using the old link goes empty, so add the new one there.
- Stop sharing stops the link. Any calendar using it goes empty.
Your Account lists every calendar link you’ve made, with when a calendar app last checked it. Press Stop beside one to stop it.
If you stop looking after a player, or they leave the club, their games leave your calendar by themselves.
Add just one game or session
Open a game or session that’s still to come and press Add to calendar:
- Google Calendar opens Google Calendar with it filled in. Press Save.
- Apple Calendar or Outlook downloads a calendar file. Open it to add the event.
A game added this way doesn’t change if its time or place does. To keep up with changes, add your whole calendar instead.
