Your teams’ competitions
Each team’s league, cups and friendlies for this season, in one place, with a way in and a way out.
Where it is
Open Competitions in the menu (on a phone, under More). It used to be a tab of Configure, and before that the League check tab of Teams; old links still land here.
Three buttons at the top choose what it shows:
- Your teams’: each team’s competitions this season (where it opens).
- The club’s: every competition your club runs, or was invited to, whether or not a team is in it yet.
- Archived: competitions that have been archived, with their tables, fixtures and results kept.
Under Your teams’, each team has a card. Under its name are its competitions this season:
- Its league first. The one you named for the team is marked Your league: its first match there enters the team.
- Then any cups.
- Then the club’s friendlies. Any team can arrange a friendly, so every team has them.
Each says whether the team is entered for the season yet.
Joining a competition
- On the team’s card, press Join a competition. (Or open the team from Teams and choose Join a competition from Manage team in the bottom corner.)
- Choose your county to narrow the list, and search by name. You’re shown the competitions for the team’s sport that let clubs enter themselves. A competition the team is already in isn’t listed. Can’t find yours? Press Missing league? Tell us which and we’ll add it.
- Press Join. The team is entered for the season running now.
A league that decides its own entries doesn’t let clubs join it here. Ask the league to enter you.
Leaving a competition
Press Leave beside it, and confirm. The team is taken out for this season.
You can’t leave a competition once the team has played a match in it, because the result must stay where it is. You can’t leave while a match there is still arranged either: remove the match first.
If it was the league you named for the team, the division is cleared too, so it isn’t offered when you add a fixture.
Confirm your competitions for the new season
When each team’s new season starts, the top of this page asks whether its league is still right. The questions are explained in Which league your team plays in. A team’s manager can answer it for their own team in the Team Hub too. Answered in either place, it’s answered.
If your club doesn’t use it, switch Season competitions check off in Configure → Features. The page stays; only the question goes.
Who can do this
Club admins, and the people who run teams (a team’s manager, for their own team, in the Team Hub). A coach or a secretary can’t.
Your club’s own competitions
A league or cup your club runs, invited clubs only, is under The club’s, and on the card of each team that plays in it. See Your club’s own competitions.
