Asking your squad for money
Team Hub lets you collect from your own squad without going through the treasurer. Pick an amount, tick who was there, done.
Asking for a payment
Open Payments and tap Ask for a payment, or do it from the match itself.
- Pick a preset if your club has set them up — “Training fee £3”, “Match subs £5” — or type any amount.
- Say what it’s for. This is what the players and parents see, so “Tuesday training” beats “Payment”.
- Tick who’s paying. Everybody is ticked already, because usually it’s the whole squad. Untick the two who weren’t there.
The total is shown as you go — £3 × 14 is the number your treasurer will ask you for.
You don’t need anybody’s approval. It’s your squad and your club’s money, and waiting for a decision would make it useless on the night you need it.
Doing it from the match
Open a game and scroll to Match payments. Asking from here attaches the charge to that match, which is worth doing: it turns “why do I owe £5?” into “you played on the 15th”, and it’s what makes the next bit work.
Who has paid
On the match, Match payments lists everybody who was charged for that game, unpaid first, with a running “9 of 11 paid”. It’s under the team sheet, because it’s the same list of people and you’re already looking at it.
For everything else, Payments shows what your squad owes across all of it — oldest first, because that’s the order you’d chase in. Each row says how overdue it is, so a slip from last week and a debt from October don’t look the same.
“Behind” is not the same as “unpaid”. Somebody paying by Direct Debit takes a few days to clear, and during those days they’ve done nothing wrong. They show as Payment on its way and they’re left out of the behind count — chasing someone who paid on Monday is worse than not chasing at all.
Rows that are settled are tucked behind Show already settled, so the list stays a list of jobs.
What you can’t do here
- You see your own team, not the club. Which families at the club are behind is the club’s business.
- You can’t write a charge off. If somebody shouldn’t be asked, tell your secretary or an admin — they can exempt it, with a reason on the record.
- You never handle the money. Payment goes to the club, recorded by whoever takes it.
