Notifications on your phone

Team HubTeam managers, and team management2 min read

As well as the email, the Team Hub can buzz your phone for the things that change what you do today.

What buzzes

  • another coach posts something new to your team;
  • a colleague sends you a direct message;
  • a coach suggests a lineup, the manager decides on one you suggested, or somebody writes in a lineup’s chat;
  • the club confirms or turns down your pitch request.

A notification says who and where, never what somebody wrote, because a phone’s lock screen is often seen by other people. Tap it to open the right page.

Turning them on

On Android, tap Turn on notifications when the Team Hub offers it (on Messages, or after you ask for a pitch), or go to Notification settings. Your phone asks once; say Allow.

On an iPhone or iPad, add the Team Hub to your Home Screen first. Apple only sends notifications to apps opened from there: in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, open it from the new icon, and turn them on in Notification settings.

Then tap Send a test notification to check it arrives.

Choosing which ones

In Notification settings, each kind that can buzz has a Push switch beside its Email switch, and they’re separate. Notifications are set per device, and signing out of a device stops it.

If the page says they’re blocked, allow notifications for the Team Hub in your phone’s settings, then come back.
