Your team in your own calendar
Put your team's games and training in the calendar you already use. Add them once and they keep themselves up to date, or add a single game or session.
Add your team’s calendar, once
On Matches, press the button in the bottom corner, then Add to your calendar, then Get my calendar link. Choose where it goes:
- Google Calendar opens Google Calendar with the link filled in. Press Add calendar. Do this on a computer: on a phone, Google’s app can say the calendar was added when it wasn’t. On a phone, press Copy link instead, then in your phone’s browser go to calendar.google.com, choose Desktop site from the browser menu, and add it under Settings, Add calendar, From URL.
- Apple Calendar or Outlook is for an iPhone, iPad or Mac, or Outlook on a computer. It opens your calendar app and asks whether to subscribe.
- Outlook.com or Microsoft 365 opens Outlook on the web with the link filled in.
- Copy link copies it, for any other calendar app that can subscribe to a calendar by its address.
The calendar is named after your team and holds all its games and sessions, from three months ago to a year ahead. Each game shows where it is, the team’s meeting note, a map link, and a link back to the match in the Team Hub. If you run more than one team, add each one from its own Matches.
It keeps itself up to date. New games, moved kick-offs and new sessions appear by themselves, and anything called off is struck through rather than disappearing. Your calendar app decides how often it checks: Apple Calendar about every hour, Outlook every few hours, and Google up to once a day. So a change made on the day can arrive late.
Keep the link to yourself
The link is private: anybody who has it can see when and where your team will be. We show it only once, when you make it. It’s yours, not the team’s: to give the squad the dates, they add their own from the Player Hub.
- New link stops the old one and makes a new one. Any calendar using the old link goes empty, so add the new one there.
- Stop sharing stops the link. Any calendar using it goes empty.
Your Account lists every calendar link you’ve made, with when a calendar app last checked it. Press Stop beside one to stop it.
If you stop running the team, its calendar goes empty by itself.
Add just one game or session
On a match, open When and where and press Add to calendar. On a session’s page, press Add to calendar. Then:
- Google Calendar opens Google Calendar with it filled in. Press Save.
- Apple Calendar or Outlook downloads a calendar file. Open it to add the event.
A game added this way doesn’t change if its time or place does. To keep up with changes, add your team’s calendar instead.
