Your club’s badge, colours and kit
Make LEKKIN look like your club: your badge, shown behind every page, your kit colours along the top of every screen, and your buttons. Everyone at your club sees them.
Where to find it
Open Configure from the menu (in More on a phone). It opens on the Club details tab.
Club details change what everyone at your club sees, so only club admins see that tab.
A new club is also asked for its badge, colours and kit when it first sets up. See Getting started with your club.
Your badge
- Under Badge, press Upload badge.
- Choose your crest: an image file, or a photo of the badge from your phone. A big photo is made badge-sized for you as it uploads, so you don’t need to shrink it first.
- Press Save club details.
Your badge shows beside your club’s name on the dashboard, and large behind every page of the Club Hub, the Team Hub and Facilities, over a blend of your two club colours. A white wash (or a dark one in dark mode) sits over it, so text stays easy to read, and cards and menus stay solid.
When you upload a new badge, you can see it behind the page straight away, before you save.
If your device is set to ask for more contrast, the badge is left out of the background.
Your club colours
Under Club colours, pick your two kit colours. They run as a stripe along the top of every screen and round your badge in the top bar, like a shirt collar. A preview above the swatches shows how they’ll look.
Any colours will do, including pale ones and white, because nothing is written on them. One colour is fine too: press Remove beside the other. Remove both and no stripe is shown.
Every colour has a box beside it showing its hex code, like #7F1734. Type or paste a code there to use an exact colour, or press the swatch to pick one.
Your kit
Under Your kit, set the shirt colours your teams wear at home, away and in a third kit, and the goalkeeper’s for each. The shirts are drawn as you pick, and your club colours, white and black are one tap away. Set as much or as little as you like, and press Save club details.
A team that wears something different can have its own kit instead: open the team in Teams, or its manager can set it in the Team Hub under Configure → Team details. Choose Its own kit, which starts from the club’s, change what differs and press Save. Choose Wear the club’s kit to go back.
Buttons and the menu
Under Buttons and highlights:
- Button colour is used for buttons, links and highlights.
- Button text is the colour of the writing on your buttons: white unless you choose otherwise. Choose black for a light club colour, like yellow. A sample button shows how it looks.
Each colour has your club’s own colours as round swatches underneath (your kit colours, then your button colour; for button text, white and black too). Tap one to use it, or pick any colour with the square.
- Selected menu item sets the background and text of the menu item you’re on. A small preview shows how it will look.
The rest of the page and the menu stay in LEKKIN’s own colours, so text is always easy to read.
Changes show as you pick them, so you can see what you’re getting. Nothing changes for anyone else until you press Save club details. If you leave the page without saving, your colours go back to how they were.
Your club’s colours are worn in the Club Hub, the Team Hub and Facilities, so moving between them still looks like your club.
Why won’t it save my colour?
Colours that have text on them are checked as you pick them, so nobody ends up with text they can’t read. Beside each one you see a contrast figure, such as 4.80:1 ✓.
- The button colour is checked against its button text: white unless you chose another. Anything below 4.5:1 says it is too light for white text, or hard to read with the text you chose. A light colour usually just needs black text.
- The selected menu item’s text is checked against its background. Below 4.5:1, it says the text is hard to read. If you set a background but no text colour, the check uses white text, because that’s what the menu shows.
While any check fails, Save club details can’t be pressed. Pick a darker or lighter shade and try again.
Your club colours are never checked, because they have no text on them.
A colour you have never set uses the app’s own.
Also on this page
- Club name. How your club appears everywhere, including on fixtures and in the club switcher. It can’t be empty.
- Short name. Optional: a shorter version of your club’s name, such as what people call you. Leave it blank if you don’t have one.
- Town. Optional. Shown only where another club with the same name appears beside yours, so people can tell you apart.
